Good evening everyone!
I am very excited to announce that today I was offered a contract with The Wild Rose Press for my short historical western romance, Seducing the Sheriff. Woohoo!! I am beyond thrilled that this has been accepted for publication within their Yellow Rose line, to be released in e-book format.
This makes my 5th publication! It has to be the best feeling in the world when an acceptance offer comes through. It gets my motivation back up and I actually feel like somebody likes my writing! LOL! Even though I know there are many people who've enjoyed my stories, it's an awesome feeling to know that I'll have another one to add to my list soon. Now I just have to get my behind going and crank out some more! There's some in the works, though. Trust me!
I hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon!
Best wishes,
Shannon

It's been a while since I posted anything, so I figured I'd give a brief update on what's been happening! Things have been crazy with school, part-time work, family, and all the kids' sport activities...but we love the craziness! Keeps us with active lives at least! ![]()
I completed another historical western short romance and have subbed it to The Wild Rose Press for publication consideration. I should hear an answer on that around May. I'm very excited to (hopefully!) have another release to offer you all!
Other than that, I've been busy with college and the writings for classes that I haven't had much time to work on any of my stories. But...I am trying out something new for a writing class that I have to take in school, so who knows? If it turns out well, I may even sub that one somewhere. I'll keep you posted!
I'm ready for the snow to be gone and warm weather to brighten my days again though! Hope the groundhog was right and we only have a few weeks left! I hope everyone is having a wonderful February with many blessings for all!

I am very excited to be able to share not only one piece of great news with you, but TWO! The first one is that my story, Lover's Bargain, has been released by The Wild Rose Press. You can find more information about it on my Books and Excerpts pages. This story is one I enjoyed immensely while writing it, and I owe a lot of gratitude to my wonderful editor, Helen Andrews, of The Wild Rose Press for helping to make it shine. I hope you get a chance to check it out and if so, please drop me a line and let me know what you think! I love to hear what readers think of my writing. (Good and bad, of course. There's always room for improvement!)
And on to my second piece of good news - The Wild Rose Press has accepted my synopsis for another novella length historical to be included in their 2010 release of Lawmen And Outlaws Christimas anthology!! I am soooo excited!! The story is titled For Love or Justice and I believe you will enjoy meeting Sawyer McBride and Anita Baker is this tale. I've got to get it finished, but I'll be keeping you posted and sharing more about it soon!
With blessings always,
Shannon

Well, there hasn't been too much happening lately. Though I did complete my edits - after some agonizing but fulfilling work - and my release date for Lover's Bargain has been set. It will be released from The Wild Rose Press in e-format on October 21, 2009! I was excited to see that it would be out this year. Very nice.
Other than that, not much else has been going on in my writing world. Family and day-job have been consuming an extravagent amount of my time that I haven't been able to write a single word of my next story. I have been brainstorming though and completing character charts, so it has a start and I know what direction I want to travel in with the story. Shhh....but just to let you in a bit....it's a sequal to Lover's Bargain.
I'm hoping to carve out some time once I get two very large projects that the day-job demands I complete banged out. Perhaps I'll be able to take a couple of days off this summer and have "me" days down at the beach with my computer. That'd be nice.
I hope that everyone is enjoying their summers - and better yet, perhaps picking up one of my stories to relax with on the beach!
'Till later!

I am very excited to share today's wonderful news with you all! About a month ago, I submitted my short story, Lady's Choice, to Aspen Mountain Press for consideration in their Winter Holiday anthology for this year.
I received an email today with an offer and contract from Aspen for the story!! YEA!!
I'm so happy that this story was accepted. I really enjoyed writing this story and hope that you all enjoy reading it - if you choose to, of course.
It's a sweet medieval Christmas story and I'm hoping will find its way into readers' hearts.
You can read a short excerpt of the story in my Works in Progress page.
Join me in a toast of celebration and a happy dance!
Shannon
